Frozen Peas +Twitter = Love and Support

When breast cancer patient Susan Reynolds came home from the hospital her husband gave her frozen peas to help chill the pain. Susan had a good sense of humor about the peas and she posted a picture of herself on her blog with peas sticking out of her camisole.

Quickly, her online community of friends responded with an outpouring of love and support, and founded the Frozen Pea Fund encouraging all of us to donate to support cancer research.

Many of us have taken the effort one step further and we have added peas to our photos on popular micro-blogging site Twitter.com.
